We had been looking forward to the annual school picnic right from the first day school reopened; the many such picnics that became unforgettable experiences in our lives. Our annual school picnic has always been a special affair.

Sudanese Band provided some truly mesmerizing moments. For the first time the Band performed in KICS.
There were the usual favourites such as shewerma and ice cream. But what is a picnic without the famous fair-treats? So popcorn and candy-floss peacefully co-existed on the large school field that has been providing the space and shelter for us to gather for the last 5 years (?).
For a couple of hours, time stopped. The world seemed to recede far away. Life seemed peaceful. The much awaited day was drifting to an end and is now another page in our children's diaries.
