Congratulations to the KICS U19 Boys who won the Khartoum Cup last Thursday evening.
The team started well, with 1-0 victories against both KAS and British Educational Schools, courtesy of goals by Ahmed Hamid (Y10) and Thomas Herve (Y11). This meant that we were already through to the final before playing our third game against Unity High School. A great performance resulted in a 2-0 win for KICS, eliminating Unity from the final match and sending us into the final unbeaten. Goals came from Osman Siddig (Y11) and Nathanael Schilling (Y11).
The final against BES was a very tight affair, finishing 0-0 in normal time. KICS came out strongly in "golden goal" extra time, and great hassling from Osman set up Ahmed, and his finish into the corner of the net was legendary. A great win for the boys who did magnificently to go through the entire tournament unbeaten without conceding a goal.
