The Rhinos Tennis team is now on the map. KICS entered a boys and girls team in the International Invitational Tennis Tournament Addis hosted by the International Community School of Addis.
The first two days were a round robin event with every game counting towards each school total. From this the seeds were drawn for the singles and doubles finals on the third day. Three weeks of intensive training with coach Mohamed prior to the event, resulted in some fine tennis being played. Both our girls and boys singles and doubles players reached their semi finals. There were some close defeats but Chris Frattina from Y11 beat a nationally ranked Ethiopian junior player in the final.
Players feel inspired to return next year but overall it was the enjoyment of playing tennis and making new friends.

      

Players showed great team spirit, determination and fine sportsmanship. They were fantastic ambassadors for our school and we are extremely proud of them.
