On Thursday 4th February the Year 10 IGCSE Geographers spent the morning on Street 15 in Amarat learning a number of field techniques in preparation for their IGCSE Paper 4. These skills included urban land use mapping, pedestrian and traffic counts. Before students went into the field they devised a number of hypotheses and once back in class their follow up work included collating their primary data, accepting or rejecting their hypotheses and discussing the limitations of their data collection process. This trip also served as an invaluable opportunity for students to continue to develop their team work, self and group evaluation and time management skills. Peter Mcainsh and Natasha Winnard
