The whole of  year 8 were given an opportunity to visit one of Sudan’s well known institutions, regarding art and history. The National Museum of Khartoum, holds a fantastic collection of artifacts that cover the rise and fall of the kingdoms of Kerma, Kush and Meroe. There's some stunning royal statues and perfectly preserved 3500-year-old artifacts from Kerma. The year 8’s had the opportunity to sketch from first hand observation and to learn a little about the history of Sudan. A good time was had by all.
